Mares USA, in cooperation with the CPSC and Health Canada, is voluntarily recalling Nemo Air Dive Computers in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico because they pose a drowning hazard.

“An O-ring in the high pressure air connector can fail and leak air, causing a continuous but slow loss of breathing gas, which could require a diver to surface quickly, posing a drowning hazard to divers.”

To this date, there have been no reports of injury in connection with this recall.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled devices and to promptly return them to any authorized Mares diving shop for a free replacement O-ring connector.

Consumers were also advised that some O-rings have already been replaced. This recall, however, involves replacing the metal quick connector fitting.
