A two-car crash in Dayton sent a pedestrian to the hospital this afternoon.
According to police, a vehicle heading eastbound on Helena ran a red light, struck a van and also hit a man who was standing on the corner as the vehicle spun around. The vehicle took off into a traffic wall two blocks up the road. The driver of the vehicle and her accompanying passenger returned to the scene of the accident.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. And the van driver suffered also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was cited for not having a valid driver’s license. This was the second time in a month that she was arrested for the same offense. Additional citations are a possibility as the investigation continues.
